The blade:
was handcrafted from high-quality 1060 carbon steel. Blade type: Maru. The continuous blade hardness of 50 HRC ensures the top cutting properties of the blade. The blade is sharpened!

The handle:
Consists of solid wood for stability and durability. Wrapped in a traditional way with black cotton grip tape. The handle is connected to the tang of the blade with 2 wooden pins, for 100% hold in the handle.
Top optics thanks to 2 gold-colored decorative elements.

The Saya (sword scabbard):
Made of wood, painted black. With black sageo (ribbon) and gold-colored shito dome (decoration on the eyelet opening)

The Tsuba:
Motive: Shih Tzu dogs playing.

This katana is dedicated to the legendary Shih Tzu dog, also known as the Lion Dog. This dog plays a huge role in Asian mythology. In fact, thanks to the particular structure of your rock, this breed of dog looks like a cross between a dog and a lion. According to legend, Buddha himself already had a dog that could turn into a lion and these dogs were kept in the monasteries of Tibet as early as the 7th century!
