Handmade Katana Samurai sword with blade made of 1095 carbon steel, which has been processed with a clay hardening!

blade:
Was forged by hand from 1095 carbon steel and processed with clay hardening, which leads to a hardness of about 60 HRC at the cutting edge and about 45 HRC at the back of the blade.
This ensures the best cutting properties and durability of the blade

Blade Type: Maru
Real, very beautiful Hamon!
Blade with Niku!: The blade has a convex cut, as shown on the diagram in the product pictures. Due to the steeper grinding angle, the blade is slightly less sharp, but can withstand much higher loads (similar to an ax).

handle:
Is made of solid wood, inlays of real, green colored ray skin were used. The ray skin is completely wrapped around the handle and the green handle tape is wrapped in a traditional way.

The blade is held in the handle by 2 bamboo pins, for 100% grip.

scabbard:
Made of wood, painted black with green ribbon (Sageo).
