The WKC Black Lotus Katana embodies traditional Japanese swordsmithing: a hand-forged, folded Damascus blade with bohi grooves on both sides for reduced weight and clearer tachikaze, and a classic chu-kissaki tip. Differential hardening yields approx. 61 HRC at the edge (ha) and approx. 55 HRC at the spine (mune) for a balance of cutting performance and resilience. A genuine hamon line clearly shows the hardening transition.
